Man sues after being tased during a traffic stop...

Apparently a man was stopped because he wasn't wearing a seat belt. Lets stop right there... wearing a seat belt should be a personal choice... it shouldn't be the choice of the government... next this man is being detained by the government for his decision not to wear a seat belt...why should a man in a blue costume with a gun and taser on his hip be violating the rights of another individual because he chose not to wear a his safety restraint in his privately owned vehicle? Now because this driver is upset about what's going on, the man in the blue costume shoots the driver with a device meant to cause great pain and eventually causes injuries... all over a piece of cloth that stretches across your chest?

Aren't cops supposed to be public servants? After all their pay (and that of all government employees) comes from our pockets... and not by consent. They are essentially our employees. Could you see any private business having it's employees treat it's owners such as this? That employee would be show the door in a second... I'm sure this cop will keep his job and probably even get a paid vacation.
